#our2c day 8 – keld to reeth
Today was another nice short day at just over 11 miles, we had two options for a route for the day, the lower prettier route along the Swale or the higher route through the old mine workings…we chose the latter. They day started out a bit damp an rainy as we crossed the river and headed up onto the moor. The rain continued for most of the morning before clearing and becoming rather hot again. The route wound it’s way through the old mines and mills, surrounded by waterfalls in almost every direction. So it made for a really interesting walk. It was also one of the rare days we didn’t see any fellow coast to coasters on route, only bumping into them in the pub at reeth.
