Today was One of the days I was most apprehensive of, everyone we had spoken to said it was the hardest day, not only was it 16-18 miles (depending on route or which book you read) but it also includes the highest ascent, up onto kidsty pike. They day started with a lovely breakfast at our b&b along with a chat to our fellow guests who were also doing the coast to coast, one couple doing it in 16 days the other in 12. It also turns out the lady who ran the b&b was originally from the same Place as us. We set off and headed for the shop to get some supplies for the day before climbing the long familiar path to angle tarn, although it was here we got a little complacent and ended up overshooting the path, entirely my fault.
